I ended up choosing Swiss company Syngenta AG (SYT) over US Monsanto (Mon)

I just bought 5 SVJ at EUR 187.35 each, spending a total amount of EUR 936.75.0

I think this agriculture company may be a good defensive stock. After all people eat bread even during economic turmoil times.

I chose Syngenta over Monsanto for several reasons:

Less controversial than Monsanto
Produces in Europe. It may be advantaged by lower EURO
Lower P/E and higher Dividend rate

I am afraid it may have been a mistake because I read around that Monsanto has better GMO biotech technologies

The Syngenta deal closed today with a double up of 379.29 per share, totalling EUR +1.934,76.
I just bought 5 SVJ at EUR 187.35 each, spending a total amount of EUR 936.75
I also got dividends in those last years.
A nice love story with an happy ending!
